It’s not hard to find adequate True Wireless headphones now – there are a ton of models on the market from well-known and not-so-well-known companies. All of them make good – and affordable – devices. And in 2021 there are tons of great earbuds that are both feature -rich and affordable, costing $35 at the most.

Xiaomi Redmi AirDots 2

A couple of years ago, Xiaomi Redmi AirDots was the cheapest and greatest model of earbuds on the market. Naturally, the famous company presented the second version, Redmi AirDots 2. When it comes to design, the earbuds have not changed at all, but the battery life was improved (4 hours instead of 3), and they also got a noise cancelling function and support for Bluetooth 5.0. Xiaomi Redmi AirDots 2 remain pleasantly cheap, costing just $16.

QCY T1C

QCY T1C are even cheaper (from $11). They look strict, but modern. Their sound is adequate, as for such a price tag, and the case is protected from water (IPX4). The controls are mechanical, which is okay considering the price; at least there is Bluetooth 5.0 and a built-in 43 mAh battery. The manufacturer claims that it will last for 4 hours of playback, which is confirmed by almost all users. The included case will give you 16 more hours of use.

Xiaomi Mi AirDots 2 SE

Xiaomi Mi AirDots 2 SE is another update of the popular Xiaomi model. The new product did not change the design, but increased the battery life, and also added useful functions.

Xiaomi Mi AirDots 2 SE can survive up to 5 hours on a single charge, instead of 4 in the previous modification. This model uses a 14.2mm composite moving-coil unit. The manufacturer claims that this makes the sound clear and natural, with rich bass.

TWS earbuds work like a headset and support lightning-fast connectivity to smartphones with MIUI 11 and above. But there is no support for aptX. But the prise is attractive – just $26.

Haylou GT1 XR

The in-ear, fully wireless Haylou GT1 XR model starts at $16. For this money, the user gets compact headphones with a minimalist design, Bluetooth 5.0, IPX5 protection and SBC codec support.

Realme Buds Air Neo

The design of the Realme Buds Air Neo mimics the AirPods, but adds bright colors to the mix to liven things up.

Realme Buds Air Neo is famous for its pleasant sound for this category, but also quite disappointing 3 hours of battery life. Due to the “in-ear” type of construction, there is no sound insulation, as well as a minimum protection against water. But there is digital noise control, touch control, Bluetooth 5.0 and hands-free support. The price of the model starts at $33.

OPPO Enco W11

OPPO Enco W11 is an in-ear budget model with IP55. The earphones support Bluetooth 5.0 module for fast signal transmission and have pair of microphones for the noise canceling function. The claimed battery life is 5 hours. Case adds 15 more hours.

OPPO Enco W11 is known for solid sound quality. The headphones support SBC and AAC codecs, and a built-in DSP processor is responsible for hands-free operation, which filters out ambient noise. The price of TWS headphones starts at $30.

BASEUS W04 Pro Encok

The BASEUS W04 Pro Encok is also modeled after AirPods. At the same time, they are much cheaper (from $25), sound decent and offer four colors.

Xiaomi Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic

Xiaomi Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic are affordable earbuds with 14mm drivers, support for the AAC codec and Bluetooth 5.0 module. The claimed battery life is up to 5 hours.

It is possible to use the earbuds as a headset. The quality of voice transmission is adequate, however, the noise cancelling feature is lacking. The price of the model starts at $25.

Hoco ES38

Hoco ES38 are very similar in design to AirPods Pro; they were definitely created with Apple users in mind. TWS earbuds support AAC codec, and the case has a Lightning connector. At the same time, the model can cost as little as $23, which is several times lower than the price of the original earphones.

Of course, the Hoco ES38 does not produce sound like the original, but users note excellent low and middle frequences, but mediocre highs. There’s touch control, as well as Bluetooth 5.0. Battery life is 3 hours. The included case will add another 10 hours of work.

Haylou T19

Haylou T19 are on sale for $32. This money will buy you a stylish design, a Qualcomm QCC3020 chip, support for the aptX codec, fresh Bluetooth 5.0 for minimal delays and a hands-free function.

Haylou T19 TWS buds survive up to 5 hours on a single charge. The included case provides yet another 25 hours of battery life. This model is touch-sensitive and has a voice assistant.

Verdict

Decent TWS earbuds cost pennies nowadays, and even cheaper models can pleasantly surprise you. All of them look great, almost always offer touch controls and voice assistants, and are equipped with modern modules and codecs, including aptX and Bluetooth 5.0. They also work in headset mode and provide at least 3 hours of battery life.
