Acer presented a line of powerful gaming laptops, led by the updated Predator Helios 18 and Predator Helios 16 models, and also announced the new Predator Helios Neo 18 gaming laptop and an update to the Predator Helios Neo 16 model.

Gaming laptops Acer Predator Helios 18 (PH18-72) and Predator Helios 16 (PH16-72) are equipped with an Intel Core i9 14900HX processor (in the most advanced versions) with an optimized hybrid architecture. They have AI support and an integrated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 laptop graphics card with ultra-efficient NVIDIA ADA Lovelace architecture and support for full DLSS 3.5 ray tracing. And the latest cooling system prevents devices from overheating.
The notebooks use 16- or 18-inch (16:10) WQXGA or Mini LED panels with a refresh rate of 250 Hz and a brightness of 1000 nits. The devices have dynamic RGB backlighting of the Predator logo with special effects, Infinity Mirror backlighting and customizable LED key backlighting. Colours and lighting effects can be customized in PredatorSense.
The all-important WASD keys feature new MagKey 3.0 caps with two additional customization kits. MagClick is a patented interchangeable mechanical switch with audible and tactile feedback and fast command execution. MagSpeed combines the original appearance of the speedometer and illumination. The notebooks use a three-microphone system and Acer PurifiedVoice 2.0 technology, as well as AI-based Acer PurifiedView technology. Predator Helios notebooks have a stable network connection thanks to Wi-Fi 7, as well as two USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4 ports and MicroSD card readers.
The new Predator Helios Neo 18 (PHN18-71) and Predator Helios Neo 16 (PHN16-72) laptops have an original futuristic design – the black anodized cover has embossed codes that gamers have to decipher to plunge into the world of Predator Verse adventures. The devices are powered by an updated Intel Core i9 14900HX processor paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 notebook graphics card with a maximum power of 140W in Turbo mode. The models also support DLSS 3.5 and full ray tracing.
The notebooks are equipped with 32 GB of DDR5 5600 MHz memory and PCIe 4th generation SSDs with a capacity of up to 2 TB in a RAID 0 configuration. The latest cooling system helps the device to work longer at full capacity. Helios Neo 18 and Neo 16 have a clear and high-quality image thanks to a WQXGA (2560×1600) IPS display with a refresh rate of 240 Hz, a response time of 3 ms and a hundred percent coverage of the DCI-P3 colour palette. Panels with NVIDIA Advanced Optimus and G-SYNC technologies can dynamically increase the frame rate and reduce lag even in the most demanding games and programs.
The Helios Neo 18 and Helios Neo 16 laptops use Acer PurifiedVoice 2.0 and Acer PurifiedView AI video conferencing tools and a powerful DTS:X Ultra speaker system. The models are equipped with Intel Killer DoubleShot Pro technology, which eliminates connection delays, two USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4, an HDMI 2.1 port and a MicroSD card reader.
