Samsung Galaxy A04 & Galaxy A23 5G are ready for launch

Samsung constantly updates its line of budget smartphones, and a number of new leaks show that the South Korean brand is working on two new entry-level models that will be released this summer. The first of these models was recently certified by the FCC and will be called the Galaxy A23 5G. As such, it will be a 5G-ready version of the original Galaxy A23, introduced back in March.

Based on the information available, it will offer a quad-camera setup on the back paired with the Snapdragon 695 5G chipset. The standard Galaxy A23 is powered by a Snapdragon 680, so it looks like the 5G version will be slightly faster.

It should come with 4GB of RAM and Android 12. This is in addition to the 5,000 mAh battery and 25W fast charging. However, don’t expect an adapter to be included in the box. It’s unclear how Samsung will price the Galaxy A23 5G at launch. Last year’s Galaxy A32 5G retails for around $280, while the new Galaxy A13 5G costs $250.

Another Samsung’s phone in development is the Galaxy A04. It should debut as the company’s cheapest model. Little is known at the moment, but certification listings hint at a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W charging. A 5G variant is also said to be in the works. If true, it should go on sale for less than $200, making 5G even more affordable for users.
