The United Kingdom will send hundreds of new attack drones to Ukraine, with a flight range of more than 200 kilometers. This was reported on the official website of the UK government.
“Today, the Prime Minister will confirm the UK’s continued provision of hundreds of air defense missiles and new unmanned aircraft systems, including hundreds of new long-range attack drones with a range of over 200 km,” the government said in a statement.
It also adds that all of this will be delivered in the coming months as Ukraine prepares to strengthen its resistance to the ongoing Russian invasion.
Last week, we wrote that the UK confirmed the delivery of Storm Shadow precision-guided missiles to Ukraine. It became the first country to provide our military with long-range missiles, so now the Ukrainian military will be able to strike at the occupiers’ depots deep behind the front line.

In addition, “Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is working with G7, NATO and other partners to provide Ukraine with the guarantees and capabilities it needs to strengthen and protect its long-term security after the war ends, enabling Ukraine to be in the strongest possible position to achieve a just and lasting peace,” the government said in a statement.
“This is a decisive moment in Ukraine’s confrontation with a horrific war of aggression that they did not choose or provoke. They need the continued support of the international community to defend themselves against the barrage of relentless and indiscriminate attacks that have been their daily reality for over a year,” said Rishi Sunak. – “We must not let them down. The front line of Putin’s aggressive war may be in Ukraine, but the fault lines stretch across the globe.”
He added that the UK will continue to provide support to Ukraine – from tanks to training, from ammunition to armored vehicles. For example, the country has already trained 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers and is developing a new training program for Ukrainian pilots to support efforts to build a new Ukrainian air force equipped with F16 aircraft.
After the United States, Britain is one of the largest providers of military aid to Ukraine. Last year, it allocated £2.3 billion to help Ukraine and has pledged the same amount this year.
France has also announced a new aid package: it will send dozens of armored vehicles and light tanks to Ukraine in the coming weeks, including AMX-10RC combat vehicles (for a review of these vehicles by Yuri Svitlyk, click here).
Emmanuel Macron confirmed that Paris will continue to provide political, financial, humanitarian and military support to Ukraine as long as necessary. A source in the French presidential administration told reporters that Ukraine would be provided with additional, more modern defense systems, but that there was no talk of fighter jets.
The French AMX-10RCs have high speed and maneuverability, allowing them to move quickly across the battlefield and change positions. Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov called them “a sniper rifle on … fast wheels.”
