On October 28, Huawei announced the newest smartwatch in the series – Watch GT 3 SE. Among the features are extremely low weight, precise sports, and health tracking, as well as a battery life of up to 14 days. It is positioned in the market as an entry-level model for sports and fitness enthusiasts and impresses with its light aesthetics and comfortable strap made of durable rubber.
With a sporty design with holes, the watch offers a completely new look and impresses with a multi-faceted interface design on the 1.43-inch color AMOLED HD display. It has a resolution of 466×466 pixels (326 PPI) and is particularly durable thanks to Corning Gorilla Glass, with reinforced polymer fiber.
The device weighs only 35.6 g without a strap, and its body is only 11 mm thick. The watch is available in two colors, graphite black and green, with a variety of watch faces to choose from. The battery will run for up to 14 days.
Huawei Watch GT3 SE is aimed at sports and fitness enthusiasts and has more than 100 sports modes. The device is waterproof up to 5 ATM according to the ISO 22810:2010 standard and can be used at a depth of up to 50 m for 10 minutes. The watch also works with five major satellite systems: GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS. Smart running plans are added to the sports modes, as well as Huawei’s science-based research system TruSport, which offers evaluations and suggestions based on running data.
In addition, accurate health management is provided, including measurement of heart rate, SpO² level, sleep rhythm, stress level, menstrual cycle, and much more. Huawei TruSeen 5.0+ provides accurate heart rate monitoring with increased data capacity and reduced signal loss.
TruSleep 3.0, on the other hand, relies on infrared light to track sleep and offers high accuracy (over 10%) in sleep monitoring with automatic sleep duration detection. Watch GT 3 SE captures a wide range of sleep-related information, including different phases such as light sleep, deep sleep, REM sleep, and wakefulness, analyzing a variety of physiological parameters based on body movements and heart rate.
As a smartwatch, the device can also answer calls, offers autonomous map navigation, and supports various applications and games. It also offers a smart voice assistant that can be used to control music, train, or create alarms.
The Huawei Watch GT3 SE is currently available only in a few European markets for €167. The watches will start shipping on November 10. Soon their sales will expand to more countries.
