Netflix suspends services in Russia

Tudum, a popular streaming service is leaving Russia, to protest the country’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. In a message shared by the service’s spokesperson with Variety Netflix states that “Given the circumstances on the ground, we have decided to suspend our service in Russia”.

Earlier Netflix already canceled all future projects and acquisitions from Russia, including four original projects, that have been in the different stages of production.

The move comes as no surprise, as with Visa & Mastercard leaving the troubled market, and PayPal canceling its operations in Russia, there’s virtually no way to extend the subscription.
