Apple’s WWDC 2022 will happen on June 6-10 – here’s what to expect

Apple has officially announced the date of the long-awaited Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2022. It will be the company’s 33rd event, where we expect to see announcement of new software updates. Apple has confirmed that WWDC 2022 will run from June 6 to June 10. This again will be a virtual event, which means no physical events or gatherings for one more year.

This time, the company plans to offer developers more informative sessions and labs to learn about software updates and features that will be presented at the upcoming event. Although the event will be entirely online, a limited number of developers and students will have the opportunity to witness the main report and State of Union presentation in Cupertino, California, on June 6.

In addition to Apple Park developers, the company will also offer support to third-party developers who love to code, as part of the traditional Swift Student Challenge. Those wishing to take part in the competition must create the MVP for the Swift playground on a topic of their choice. The project must be submitted to Apple by April 25 through its website.

In addition, new versions of all Apple operating systems are expected to appear. Most likely, the company will present iOS 16, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, macOS 13 and tvOS 16 at the event. We also believe that some hardware launches will happen at the event. There is a lot of noise at the moment about the redesigned MacBook Air and Apple Silicon Mac Pro. One or both of these devices could appear, or at least teased during the event.
