According to new reports, the first BYD Store in the Caribbean has opened up its doors to the public. This store is located in the capital of Trinidad and Tobago, Port of Spain, and it’ll serve the countries in the region. Buyers coming to this new store to get new EVs will be able to choose between a handful of models that the Chinese EV brand currently offers.
The BYD models that are available for purchase at this new store are the Atto 3, Seal, Dolphin, and E6. There are three SUVs and one saloon in this list, showing that BYD is preparing to serve options to a wide range of buyers. Aside from these models, the Chinese automobile manufacturer also teased its pickup truck which happens to be a plug-in hybrid model.
This pickup truck, the BYD Shark, made its debut a few weeks ago and is already heading to some regions for sale. Possibly, in the coming months, BYD will bring this pickup truck to the new store in Port of Spain for buyers in the Caribbean to purchase. This will work well to help BYD in its global growth strategy, and the brand is already making big moves in its American markets.
To help boost the performance of this new BYD store in the Caribbean, the Chinese EV brand will partner with other dealers. Reports have it that BYD is currently working with a Jamaican auto dealer, ATL Automotive Group, to bring its models to its showrooms. This move will help BYD’s popularity in the Caribbean and get more EV buyers interested in the products that they offer.
Already, BYD is the largest EV brand in Brazil, and it hopes to expand this achievement to other regions. From Brazil, BYD is expanding its reach to other countries in America to bring its EVs to more buyers. In a few months, we’ll get more details on the performance of this new BYD store in the Caribbean.
