GWM Ora 07 blends Porsche and Bugatti styling in a budget electric fashion

-

If you’re looking to either get a Porsche or a Bugatti but have a low budget and love the environment, then the GWM Ora 07 is for you. Great Wall Motors (GWM) is preparing to launch its 07 model into their Ora brand in the coming months. This vehicle has already hit various headlines showing off its performance and styling which appears to be an inspiration from two or more automobile giants.

After seeing the official images of the new Ora 07, the headlights were the first thing that got my attention. They reminded me of a car so dear to my heart, the Volkswagen Beetle, but after seeing images and videos of the cars, my perception changed drastically. The entire exterior design of the Ora 07 is reminiscent of the pre-2016 Porsche Panamera.

Additional design details on this car include the rear wing styling from an older Porsche, as well as Beetle-ish headlights and Bently-ish tail lights. Overall, the exterior styling of this car is impressive, on the inside, it’s impossible not to see a Bugatti Chiron when looking at the control panel. The toggles for the infotainment system, AC controls, and drive mode selector are all inspired by the Bugatti Chiron.

Away from all the carried-over design elements, the GWM Ora 07 is a 4-wheel drive electric saloon that boasts up to 300 miles of range. Being a sporty product, Great Wall Motors of China fitted this car with enough performance to get it from 0mph to 62mph in just 4.4 seconds. While this is standard for most electric saloons, it’s impressive to see that the GWM Ora 07 doesn’t focus all on design but also on performance.

In some markets, these cars will be known as the Ora Lightening Cat and Ora 07 in others. Some markets are still waiting on the official launch of this vehicle, but in other regions like Asia, it retails under $40,000. We expect this vehicle to launch in the UK later this year, as the company states on their official website.
