Porsche fully electric cars are to replace some combustion cars

-

With the drastic change in the automobile industry, we are expecting to see more Porsche fully electric cars. Yes, the brand plans to replace some of its already popular combustion engine cars with electric models. While this will be a big change for Porsche, the brand doesn’t seem to be shying away from making the change to their models.

Some of the already popular Porsche models that will lose the combustion engine soon are the Boxster and the Cayman. A board member at Porsche has stated that the German automobile manufacturer has plans to switch the Boxster and Cayman to the electric side. Additionally, the production of the combustion engine Macan is also preparing to end as the brand is making the Macan all-electric.

Porsche Boxster

The Porsche Macan, Boxster, and Cayman are all great-selling vehicles in the brand’s line-up. For buyers looking to own a Porsche but not willing to spend a fortune, all these entries have been great choices over the years. Those looking to get an affordable SUV from Porsche opt for the Macan, and others looking for an affordable 2-seat convertible go for either the Boxster or the Cayman.

All three of these vehicles are now going electric, with the Macan launching its electric model in Q1, 2024. The electric Cayman and Boxster will hit the launch stage soon, but there’s no news on their arrival. These won’t be the first electric vehicles from Porsche, as the brand already has other electric models.

The Porsche Taycan is the German automaker’s all-electric sports saloon. Porsche also has some impressive hybrid vehicles that they offer in their vehicle line-up. However, the already popular combustion engines Macan, Boxster, and Cayman are preparing to go fully electric.
