Acer has announced the expansion of its line of Chromebook Plus notebooks – it will include a new 14-inch Chromebook Plus 514 (CB514-4H/T) model. It is a productive, compact and reliable device running ChromeOS, which has a lot of useful AI-based features.
Acer Chromebook Plus 514 is a new representative of the line of Chromebook Plus notebooks, which are characterized by efficiency and technical characteristics characteristic of Chromebooks. Their advanced hardware, improved display and camera design are combined with high performance and features for creativity and multimedia.
Chromebook Plus: Everything you need for productive work
Thanks to the Intel Core i3-N305 processor, 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB of memory, the Acer Chromebook Plus 514 model is characterized by twice the speed and advanced capabilities for data processing and storage. The battery provides up to 11 hours of autonomy and supports fast charging technology, so the device will work without interruption during the day.
The 14-inch Full HD display with IPS technology has a brightness of 300 nits and wide viewing angles, which is very convenient for working with AI-based graphic design and photo editing tools such as Magic Eraser in Google Photos or Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Express-based generative AI Adobe Firefly. The Chromebook Plus 514 is available with and without a touchscreen.
The device also has a 1080p webcam with AI-based Temporal Noise Reduction technology. The built-in face auto-exposure function adjusts the exposure according to the lighting conditions. For privacy, the webcam shutter can be closed, the dual microphones can be turned off, and the camera can be turned off with the push of a button.
Portable and reliable design Acer Chromebook Plus 514
This portable yet reliable notebook weighs 1.43 kg is 20.5 mm thick, and meets the US military standard MIL-STD 810H. It also supports Bluetooth 5.2 and has two USB 3.2 Type-C Gen 1 ports (one on each side) with USB charging capability.
In line with Acer’s concept of a sustainable positive impact on the environment, the new Acer Chromebook Plus 514 meets the principles of the Earthion mission and has several EPEAT registration certificates. Its OceanGlass touch panel is made from plastic rubbish caught in the ocean. Plus, it features eco-friendly packaging and an Energy Star-certified energy-efficient design.

In the new Acer Chromebook Plus 514, the Chrome Education Upgrade program is built-in, designed for convenient management of devices in educational institutions. Chrome Education Upgrade helps administrators manage devices and offers policies that make it easier to use all the model’s features.
Acer Chromebook Plus 514 is suitable not only for teachers and employees of educational institutions but also for students of higher educational institutions. Users will have access to a variety of tools, such as Screencast, Adobe Express and File Sync, that help increase productivity even when working offline. With powerful management tools, administrators can improve productivity, optimize device usage, and deploy security configurations. In addition, administrators can use such useful features of Chrome Education Upgrade as automatic registration and 24/7 support from Google.
Acer Chromebook Plus Enterprise 514 for business
The new Chromebook Plus line includes support for the Chrome Enterprise Upgrade program, which provides access to the built-in business features of ChromeOS. The Acer Chromebook Plus Enterprise 514 enables IT and support staff to log in quickly with auto-enrolment and work efficiently while protecting data and users. 24/7 ChromeOS technical support and troubleshooting assistance provided by IT administrators make it much easier to roll out updates, generate analytical reports, and resolve technical issues.
Acer Chromebook Plus 514 (CB514-4H/T) will go on sale in Ukraine in June 2024 and will cost UAH 20,499.
