This month will see the launch of a ton of devices, including the ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro, which will be a performance beast. While the launch of this device is slated for January 16, details on its specifications are already floating around the internet. Now the renders of this device are available showing off its design which is a complete overhaul from last year’s ROG models.
For the coming ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro, the entire design is seeing some improvements and changes. From the renders, we can see that this coming device will feature an entirely new rear design with a new layout for the rear cameras. The design pattern on the rear will also see some massive changes and might retain the backlight effect on the ROG 7 series.
Up front, this coming device will also bring a new display layout, dropping off the chunky top and bottom bezels. With the new ROG Pro device, fans will get a centre punch-hole camera cutout with slim bezels all around the screen. Along its sides, this device will feature a power button and volume rockers on the right-hand side.
At its base will sit a USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, SIM tray, microphone, and speakers with the USB-S port sitting to the far left for more convenient usage. There’s also another USB-C charging port on the left-hand side of the device, so users can bypass charging while gaming. The gaming shoulder buttons on this coming device might be capacitive touch, as their location is identifiable thanks to the ROG logos.
For its specifications, the ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro will launch with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It’ll also pack up to 24GB worth of memory, as well as a snappy LTPO 165Hz refresh rate display for gaming. From the name ROG (Republic Of Gamers), you can tell that this device will launch with a special focus on the gaming market.
