What is Bosorka game about? The young witch Gorpina summoned a friend with the help of an ancient Grimoire, but due to lack of experience, she could not cope with the magic book, and the spell remained unfinished. After unsuccessful use, the unrestrained book returns to its author from the other world, uncontrollably summoning terrifying monsters. The only salvation is to stop the book and prevent evil forces from taking over the world.
Bosorka is an exciting action game that combines the best elements of the roguelike and shoot ’em up genres with incredibly stylised 3D visuals. Immerse yourself in a dark fantasy world and show the demons who is a force to be reckoned with.
We asked Sengi Games about their experience of releasing games and what difficulties they encountered.
We’ve been developing the game for almost a year, a little less to be exact. We already have experience in releasing games, as well as interesting developments that have accelerated our development process.
As we can see, this is their second game in the Steam library, the first one was The Serpent Rogue, it was released on 26 April 2022 and has “Mixed” reviews, unlike Bosorka, which has all “Very Positive” reviews. “The Serpent Rogue is an action-adventure game where you have to explore a fantasy medieval world, learn the art of alchemy and tame wild animals.
Also, we are all very familiar with the topic of problems when developing a game in Ukraine nowadays. Here’s what Sengi Games has to say:
We think that, like many developers, the main problem is blackouts, which occurred at the hottest time when we were preparing to present the demo version of the game to players.
Indeed, I can’t even imagine how hard it was to work and prepare to release the demo in such a light situation. In turn, I would like to thank the Sengi Games team for their time. It is very pleasant that even in such conditions, our Ukrainian studios kept their heads up and worked. By the way, Bosorka is now available at a 10% discount.
