Chinese tech manufacturer Cubot announces the global launch of its latest smartphone, KingKong Star, the first ruggedised smartphone in the company’s range to support 5G technology. The world premiere will take place on 7 August in the brand’s official AliExpress store, and the manufacturer has prepared gifts to celebrate.

Featuring a 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 700 8-core processor and 5G technology, the KingKong Star delivers high speed, performance and seamless connectivity. It has 12GB of RAM with the option to borrow up to 12GB of unused permanent memory, and 256GB of flash storage, expandable up to 1TB via memory cards. The device runs on Android 13 out of the box.

At the front, KingKong Star features a 6.78-inch 2K FHD+ screen with a 1080×2460 resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. But it also has an additional screen on the back, a 1.09-inch display that is easily customisable and makes it easy to access various smartphone functions or data, such as the clock, player, battery level, call accept or reject buttons, and even a compass. In addition, the rear panel features a triple camera setup, including a 100-megapixel primary camera, a 24-megapixel night vision camera and a 5-megapixel macro camera.

It will also impress you with its battery life – its battery capacity is 10600 mAh, and it also supports 33W fast charging. With a full charge, the smartphone will last for 76 hours of calls, 42 hours of music playback, 17 hours of video viewing, and 1251 hours of standby time. All of this is packed into a rugged body – the Cubot KingKong Star offers reliable protection against water, dust and drops thanks to its IP68/IP69K certification and can operate in temperatures from -35°C to +75°C.
