Gmail subscription emails might soon be easy to clear with a coming update

-

After digging through the lines of codes on a new update, AssembleDebug confirms that Gmail subscription emails are getting a fix. This fix is one that most users are waiting for, as it treats an issue that most Gmail users constantly stress about. The issue in question deals with receiving emails from various services that users subscribe to knowingly or unknowingly.

AssembleDebug via his X page shares information on his findings regarding the fix for this issue. According to the developer, a new feature that currently exists behind flags for the new Gmail update will fix this issue. This feature goes by the name “Manage Subscriptions” and it’ll be accessible via the menu bar once available for usage.

At this time, AssembleDebug notes that this feature is not usable as it can be opened. Opening it on leads to a loading page that loads indefinitely, as it’s not yet ready for usage. This feature might be under development and Google might be trying to perfect its usage for it to be ready for a stable release.

With this feature, Gmail users might be able to manage the emails coming in from services that they subscribe to. For some time now, Gmail for the Web has been displaying a large unsubscribe button for subscription emails. Users of Gmail for the Web can unsubscribe from subscription emails without having to look for the tiny unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.

On mobile, the fix for Gmail subscription emails might not be a large unsubscribe button. The reveal from AssembleDebug notes that the fix on mobile will be an entire page. We’ll need to wait for the coming days to understand more about how this page will work.
