The Fast Pair feature comes in handy when you have a new Bluetooth accessory to pair with your devices and makes the process as easy as one click. The feature is available on Android smartphones and Chromebooks, and next month the company will extend it to Chromecast with Google TV. The feature will be expanded to other Google TV devices later this year.

With Fast Pair, all you have to do is put the accessory in pairing mode, and it will appear as a prompt on your Chromecast ecosystem with Google TV. For Fast Pair to work, your accessory must support Bluetooth Low Energy, and Android Location Services must be enabled on the main device (in this case, Chromecast with Google TV).

You can now stream TikTok content from your phone to Chromecast built-in devices. Shortly, you’ll also be able to stream live videos from TikTok to your TV and other Chromecast-enabled devices.

Later this year, Pixel users will be able to stream content from Spotify and YouTube Music to a docked Pixel Tablet, simply when the devices are close together. This feature is called “Cast to devices nearby” and aims to ensure seamless transfer of multimedia data between Pixel phones and a connected Pixel Tablet. The function works in both directions.
