The Google Bard Advanced version of the AI service launched last month might become a paid service for users. Netizens are now getting reports of this possible monetization thanks to investigative findings on the company’s website. A few lines of codes within the Bard Advanced website show that in a few months, users needing to access its services will do so after paying a set fee.
The folks at Android Headlines as well as Bedro Pamboukian an X user have found these lines of code within the new website. From their findings, the first line of codes invites users to “Try Bard Advanced for 3 months, on us.” The third line of code goes on to invite users to “Get more capable large language model with advanced math and reasoning skills with Bard Advanced for 3 months on us.”
At this moment, Google Bard Advanced is still under testing and not yet available to the global audience. But with these reveals, it’s obvious that Google is preparing to make this new service available to users. This service will be available for use for a set fee that users will pay, however, the first 3 months of usage will be free for all users.
By making this AI model a paid feature, Google will be able to generate revenue from its usage globally. At the moment, the pricing of this new AI model is not yet clear, but some say that it’ll be part of a Google One subscription tier. Once available for global usage, will you be willing to pay to access AI services from Google’s new Bard Advanced service?
