The new RCS features are Photomoji, Voice Moods, Screen Effects, Custom Bubbles, Reactions Effects, Animated Emoji, and Profiles. Each feature will become available to users via an app update on the Google Play Store. At the moment, this update is still rolling out to RCS users around the world, so some users might not have access to these features at this time.

Photomoji lets users convert their favourite photos into reactions, so now users can react to messages with more than emojis. Voice Mood adds up to 9 emotions into the user’s voice messages and they all come with visual effects. Screen Effects add animations to users for a better visual experience while texting.
Custom Bubbles bring colour to the message bubbles as well as the message background. Reactions Effects adds some animated effects to each message that an RCS user reacts to while texting. Animated Emojis add some life to the emojis that are sent alone while texting.
Lastly, Profiles lets users add a username as well as an image to their RCS phone number, so users can identify them across various Google services.
