Popular smartphone display tipster X Ross Young has revealed the details on the Google Pixel Fold 2 screen. Previous reveals on this coming foldable device’s screen size revealed that it’ll see some drastic changes. These changes will take the next-gen Pixel foldable device from being a compact entry to being a large-screen device.
According to the new reveal from Ross Young, this device will feature a massive 8.02-inch folding screen. If you aren’t already aware, the iPad Mini from 2021 comes with an 8.3-inch screen size, making it a compact tablet entry. While this is slightly larger than the Google Pixel Fold 2 expected screen size, both devices will be similar in size.
The leaks on the Pixel Fold 2 don't have the display sizes right. 8.02" for the foldable display and 6.29" for the cover display. Panel production starts in April! It is coming.

Bringing this display size to the foldable industry, far outshines what is currently available. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 features a 7.6-inch display, the OnePlus Open features a 7.82-inch display, and the Honor Magic V2 features a 7.92-inch display. The coming foldable device from Google Pixel might be the largest screen in its segment.
On the inside, the Google Pixel Fold 2 is to feature a 6.29-inch display size. For some reason, in comparison with the competition, this device features a very large exterior display but a smaller exterior display. This might mean that Google will still stick to the form factor that we see on the original Pixel Fold entry.
The original Pixel folding device features a 7.6-inch folding display and a 5.8-inch external display. Comparing this to what’s coming, it’s safe to say that big changes are coming to the Pixel Fold line-up. Production of the display panels for this foldable device will kick off in April, and it might launch in May or October this year.
