A recent post from Lars Silberbauer reveals that HMD smartphones might make their global debut next year. From his post, the CMO of HMD stated that they have “a lot more than” just Nokia phones in their next year’s product line-up. These new devices might make an early entry possibly in Q1 2024 and will join the budget-level smartphone market in some markets.
The announcement of these coming HMD smartphones was made via Lars Silberbauer’s LinkedIn page just a few days ago. In his post, netizens got to learn a thing or two about HMD’s growth ever since its launch back in 2016. Partnering up with the Nokia brand, HMD has been able to launch a ton of budget-level smartphones and feature phones that netizens have come to love.
Before its 7th anniversary, HMD made announcements of some changes that will be coming its way. This change might take away the Nokia branding from some devices that HMD plans to launch in the future. So netizens should expect to see some HMD-branded smartphones launch in 2024 and new leaks are already showing some of these devices off.
The rugged Nokia XR21 is just one example of a smartphone that will get the HMD branding next year. Already there is some leaked paperwork pointing to this coming rebrand. Other devices might launch alongside HMD’s rebrand of the popular Nokia XR21 smartphone in the coming months.
However, these HMD smartphones that are preparing to launch might not make it to all markets around the world. Also, Nokia smartphones will still be launched next year alongside some entries from HMD. So if you’re a Nokia fan, you shouldn’t worry because your favourite brand isn’t leaving your side next year.
