-

Netizens have spotted a coming device that’s set to rock the Huawei Kirin 8000 processor. This is good news for Huawei, as it goes to prove that the Chinese tech giant is expanding its chip portfolio despite bans. With details on this chip making its way to the public ahead of its official launch, Huawei shows off its second smartphone chip for this year.

Earlier this year, Huawei launched the Mate 60 series with the Kirin 9000S processor. For their laptops, Huawei launched a new model using another in-house Kirin chipset, known as the 9006C. Now there is a new entry to the team that is yet to be unveiled before the global tech community.

While this new chip remains a mystery, some tipsters have spotted it in use on a coming Huawei smartphone. This phone in question is the Huawei Nova 12 Pro, and it was spotted in a wide photo showing off its specifications. These specifications include the Huawei Kirin 8000 processor and some other details that the internet can feed on until the launch of this device.

It’s unclear whether this new chip from Huawei uses the 7nm or 5nm process. But it will pair up with up to 12GB worth of LPDDR4 RAM for better performance abilities. It’ll also support an OLED screen display on the coming Huawei Nova 12 Pro that’ll launch in the coming weeks.

This coming device will launch under the Nova 12 series that has been making waves on the internet in recent times. In typical Huawei fashion, this device will launch running HarmonyOS, but the leaked images revealing its specs show that it runs Android 12. There’s no detail on the launch date of this coming series, but it might make an entrance in Q1 of 2024.
