The popular Huawei Watch Fit 2 finally has a successor. The new Watch Fit 3 comes with several improvements, including a new design, an additional button, an expanded set of functions, and a large 1.82-inch AMOLED screen that adjusts its brightness according to external conditions, as well as over 100 workout modes.
The Watch Fit 3 is available in six color options: black, pink, white, pistachio (with hypoallergenic fluoroelastomer straps), gray (with nylon strap), and white with a leather bracelet. The watch weighs 26 grams without the strap, and its thickness is 9.9 mm. By the way, the straps are easy to change.
The screen of the Watch Fit 3 occupies 77.4% of the body surface, has a diagonal of 1.82 inches, a refresh rate of 60 Hz, and a peak brightness of up to 1500 nits. The battery lasts up to 10 days on a single charge, and with fast charging support, it can last a whole day after just 10 minutes of charging.
The watch tracks heart rate, stress levels, menstrual cycle, blood oxygen saturation, and features an improved sleep monitoring function called TruSleep 4.0. It also offers over 100 sports modes including football, basketball, paddle, and even esports, as well as a new program called “Running on Track”, which allows specifying the athletics track (from 1st to 9th) with length indication (400 – 461 m). With the “Running Ability Index” feature, the device prepares a personalized training plan considering gender, height, weight, and heart rate frequency.
The new software version allows you to not interrupt your workout to answer a call or read a message. You need to press the watch crown twice, and the screen will change, while the active workout remains in the background. The Huawei Watch Fit 3 features a built-in 9-axis position sensor and GPS for tracking route, speed, and distance. Workout results can be analyzed in the proprietary Huawei Health app.
The Huawei Watch Fit 3 is compatible with both Android and iOS, and when paired with a smartphone, it supports various functions such as message reading (in Messenger or WhatsApp), the ability to take photos, checking the weather, and receiving voice calls (the watch is equipped with a speaker and microphone). In the new software version, access to the calendar has been added. Access to information and functions has become more convenient thanks to various dial settings.
On the right side of the smartwatch, there’s a special crown that allows scrolling through menus and other items on the screen. There’s also a functional button that, when pressed, opens the selected application or function. The Watch Fit 3 version with nylon or fluoroelastomer straps will cost around $175, while the version with a leather strap will be around $200.
Moreover, today the manufacturer introduced the Huawei Watch 4 Pro Space Edition. Its case is made of TC4 titanium, which, due to its properties, is often used in the aerospace industry. It is more resistant to corrosion, three times stronger, and twice as hard as TA2 titanium. Both the case and the bracelet of the Space Edition model have a special coating that increases durability and resistance to abrasion, wear, and scratches. Additionally, the device can withstand immersion up to 30 meters deep.
The smartwatch features a red and black bezel around the screen and a thematic watch face depicting a spaceship turbine, as well as a rotating winding crown. The Huawei Watch 4 Pro tracks eight health parameters, including ECG, heart rate, blood oxygen level, blood pressure, stress, skin temperature, and respiratory system condition. The new feature is monitoring the quality of breathing during sleep.
The smartwatch supports eSIM, allowing you to send messages and make calls even when your phone is not nearby, and it supports Huawei Petal Maps for pedestrian and cycling navigation. This model also supports over 100 sports modes and can automatically call for assistance if you fall. In the app, you can track the health status of your loved ones if they also have a Huawei watch.
The device is equipped with a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED screen and a large-capacity battery that can last from 4.5 to 21 days, depending on usage mode. The interface is intuitive, with informative widgets and quick access to important applications.
So, currently, the Watch 4 Pro lineup includes four models, all of which feature a TC4 titanium case and sapphire glass:
- Space Edition: with a two-tone bezel (graphite-red) and a graphite bracelet
- Elite: entirely silver
- Classic: silver case with a brown leather strap
- Blue Edition: dark blue case with a composite strap.
The retail price of the new model is around $700.
