The Google Pixel 8a is expected to launch in May, which is only a few months away. While we await the launch of this device, more details on its specifications are now arriving on the internet. Some of these details are provided by Google, hence confirming that this device is in its production stage.
A Google software engineer has confirmed that the battery stat feature is making a comeback with the Pixel 8a. This confirmation came in response to a user’s complaint about the missing battery info list. From the response the engineer gave the user, the battery stats info page will only be available on the Pixel 8a and other devices that launch after it.
This battery stat feature left Pixel devices with the release of the March 2024 update. Now we can confirm that this battery stat feature will make a return on coming Pixel devices. We can also confirm that the Pixel 8a is in the production stage as the Google software engineer points out to it as it’ll bring back the battery stat feature.
Possibly, with the release of Android 15, devices might get this feature back once again. But in the meantime, we’ll wait till the next Google I/O event, where the coming Pixel 8a device will hit the launch stage. This event might take place in March, and it might also tease the coming Android 15 update.
According to available reports, the coming Google Pixel 8a will be more expensive than its predecessors in the A series. This was the same case with the launch of the Google Pixel 7a last year, as it hit the market with a higher price tag than its predecessor, the Pixel 6a.
