Yesterday we reported that something new was coming to the Nothing Phone (2a). Today we got to see the launch of a new colour option for buyers to go for, and for the first time in Nothing’s existence, they offer a device in blue. The sale of this new colour variant is not yet live as it kicks off in India on May 2 at noon, so those who want to get this device will need to wait for its arrival in online stores.
Flipkart will retail this new colour variant and users will be able to get it with either 8GB or 12GB worth of RAM capacity. Aside from the new blue colour option, there is nothing new about this device. It’s just a Nothing Phone (2a) with a rather weird colour option as we’re used to seeing Nothing devices in either Black, White, or Milk (very similar to white).
On May 2 by noon, those rushing to Flipkart to grab this device for themselves will be able to benefit from a discount offer that Nothing has in store for them. This discount offer will take $48 off the original price of this device, which starts at $287. The offer will only be available on May 2, so if you want this device but love saving yourself some cash, you’ll need to hurry and grab this offer.
It’s impressive, yet strange to see that Nothing is picking a new colour for their device. Does this mean that we can expect to start seeing newer colour options come to Nothing in devices that might launch in the future or already existing devices? Not everyone might accept this change with open arms, as the iconic Black or White with a see-through back has come to be Nothing’s signature.
Well, change is inevitable and Nothing is choosing to do things a bit different this time around. The sales performance of this new colour option will determine whether the brand will keep on bringing more colours to its devices. What do you think of the new Nothing Phone (2a), is it a yay or a nay from you? Let us know in the comment section below.
