While we await the official launch of the coming Nothing Phone (2a) the company gives us official assurance that this device is coming. This assurance comes in the recent Nothing Community Update video that’s live on the brand’s official YouTube channel. In the video, we get to know a bit about what the Phone (2a) aims to achieve as it prepares for its official launch.
Nothing co-founder and marketing lead, Akis Evangelidis makes mention of a few things these device aims to achieve. He also mentions areas that this device will focus on in a bid to meet user expectations with this coming smartphone. This coming device will allow users to experience the Nothing feel on a budget.
It promises to bring to user’s doorsteps the “core smartphone functionality” of course, on a budget. Nothing Phone (2a) is the device that’ll give users this experience once it becomes available for purchase. This was the only information on the coming device that was shared by the Nothing Community executives in this video.
However, some details on this device have been made available thanks to a series of leaks that have been building suspense. This device is to launch with the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor as well as 12GB worth of RAM as an option. Leaks also promises that this device will bring a 50MP main camera sensor as well as some great photography features.
The display features that this device will bring include a 6.7-inch FHD+ screen panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It’ll retail under the $400 price point, putting it up against the likes of the Pixel 7a and the coming 8a. At its launch, Nothing will make more information on this device available to the public.
