As we approach the launch of the OnePlus 13 more details on this flagship device pop up on the internet. Popular tipster Digital Chat Station has now taken to his Weibo account to share new information on this coming flagship device. One of the major reports from the tipster points out that the future series will feature a triple 50MP rear camera setup.
If this report concerning the next OnePlus flagship device’s camera system is true, then it is a clear upgrade from its predecessor. The already existing OnePlus 12 hit the launch stage back in December 2023, and it brought a ton of impressive features. For its rear camera setup, this device holds three rear camera sensors bringing Hasselblad photography technology.
OnePlus arms its existing flagship device with a 50MP main sensor, a 64MP periscope telephoto, and a 48MP ultrawide sensor. However, the coming successor to the OnePlus 12 is said to come with all 50MP sensors for improvements in photography. Reports also have it that the main 50MP sensor that will be in use on the OnePlus 13 will all come from Sony.
This sensor might be the Sony LTY-900 sensor, which is an upgrade from the Sony LTY-808 sensor that is in use on the OnePlus 12’s main camera. With these possible upgrades, OnePlus might be focusing on making photography on this coming device better than its predecessor. Just like all other OnePlus flagship devices, the coming 13 models will bring Hasselblad technology for better photography.
Information on the front-facing camera of the OnePlus 13 is not yet clear, but it might stick to a 32MP sensor, just like the OnePlus 12 before it. For performance, this device will launch with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor and up to 16GB worth of RAM capacity. As the OnePlus 13’s launch approaches, we’ll keep getting more details on this device to help give us a clearer picture of what to expect.
