At the Technical Communication Technology Conference, OPPO unveiled a host of innovative technologies that will make their debut in the Find X7 flagship series of smartphones. It will use the technology to adjust the directional pattern of the satellite antenna for high-quality satellite communication. Due to this, users will not have to look for a suitable angle or position of the device to make a phone call via satellite – it will be enough to put the smartphone to the ear.
To solve the problems associated with poor signal coverage in remote mountainous areas, rural areas, complex urban environments and home offices, OPPO initiated the Super Signal project. This ambitious program is aimed at ensuring stable interaction in various scenarios using satellite communication.
To improve the quality of reception, OPPO has updated the work with the low-frequency band n28 and the band n8, adding support for the quadruple low-frequency antenna technology. The number of reception channels of the low-frequency MIMO antenna has been doubled. OPPO claims that the theoretical model of the human body’s electromagnetism developed by the company prevents the reduction of the low-frequency signal level when using its new flagship Find X series. OPPO achieved a 7 dB increase in the signal level, thereby increasing the reliability of the connection.
According to OPPO, its Find X7 series smartphones “are designed to transform the satellite calling experience from the usual ‘satellite walkie-talkie mode’ to a more advanced ‘satellite phone mode'”. The satellite phone mode is especially useful in noisy conditions such as strong winds and waves, and promises clearer communication compared to a hands-free call, increasing effectiveness in emergencies.
OPPO also announced an updated model of generative artificial intelligence, AndesGPT. The model is presented in three variants: with 180, 70 and 7 billion parameters. OPPO claims that AndesGPT “supports end-to-end cloud deployments, providing intelligent planning tailored to different user scenarios.”
