Palworld is a survival adventure game from Japanese developer Pocket Pair that takes place in an open world populated by animal-like creatures known as Pals. It’s an Early Access game on Steam, and it topped the bestseller list, selling 4 million copies in its first 3 days. At most, the game has already collected more than 39,000 reviews and has a rating of “Very favourable” – 93% of all reviews were positive.
The game is part Ark: Survival Evolved, part Harvest Moon, and part Pokemon. The game currently tops the Steam DB “Most Played” ranking. A pretty amazing number for a game that came out in early access three days after release.
The unique feature of the game is that Palworld combines different genres. It uses standard survival game mechanics like building a base and gathering resources, and requires players to catch and fight collectable monsters, but also has impressive third-person combat.

While it’s still an Early Access game with no official release date for the full version, it’s reportedly already pretty well developed. The studio says the game features 100 monsters to tame and fight, hundreds of items to find or craft, and more than 70 types of buildings to construct, all set in a “massive” open world. which players can explore.
The price of a game can also have something to do with its popularity. Since the game was released in early access, its price is currently UAH 540 with a 10% discount, which is cheaper than many new games. Palworld is developed by the Japanese studio Pocket Pair, which created the 2020 survival game Craftopia. Craftopia has a “mostly positive” rating on Steam but is still in early access after three and a half years.
Palworld is already available on PC via Steam and Xbox, as well as via Game Pass.
