Qualcomm has hinted when it will release Snapdragon X computer processors. The manufacturer has published a small promotional teaser on its Twitter page, which points to the upcoming launch of the new product on April 24.
The published video does not directly mention the model of the “Elite” chip, but it flashes the letter “X”, which indicates that the future product belongs to the Snapdragon X series of processors.

“Stay tuned for news on April 24,” the company said in a statement.
According to rumours, the Snapdragon X series may consist of several processors at once, and not only the Elite model presented back in October 2023. According to the VideoCardz portal, the company may also be preparing Plus model processors for release. Chips appeared in different sources in one way or another. It may be about modifications or engineering samples of Elite processors with different clock frequencies, but the official details will be known on April 24. Below is the entire list of Snapdragon X processors that managed to stand out in various leaks:
- Snapdragon X Elite X1E84100
- Snapdragon X Elite X1E80100
- Snapdragon X Elite X1E78100
- Snapdragon X Elite X1E76100
- Snapdragon X Plus X1P62100
- Snapdragon X Plus X1P64100
- Snapdragon X Plus X1P56100
- Snapdragon X Plus X1P40100.
As VideoCardz writes, the X Elite series processors will offer up to 12 cores. For their part, the X Plus models will receive up to 10 cores. Both series reportedly supports all modern graphics APIs, including DirectX. In addition, they all feature an embedded AI engine (NPU) capable of up to 45 TOPS (trillion operations per second), making them the most powerful consumer AI processors.
Of course, Intel and AMD are not going to stand by while a new player in the consumer processor segment emerges. The companies have already announced plans to release a new generation of processors this year that will be equipped with more productive NPUs compared to those used in Intel Core Ultra (Meteor Lake) and Ryzen 8000 chips.
Qualcomm has previously made several claims about the superiority of its Snapdragon X chips over processors from Apple, Intel and AMD. In particular, the X Elite is up to 54% faster and up to 65% more energy efficient than the Core Ultra 7 155H. However, all this has not yet been confirmed by independent tests.
