There’s a certain curious new invention on Kickstarter, and it’s called QuickPad. The developers describe it as One Ring Device to Rule Them All.
What is QuickPad?
QuickPad is a gadget with a 6-inch touchscreen that can be connected to different other devices, including PC, smartphones, tablets or smart TVs. You can set up “quick buttons” or shortkeys like Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V, Ctrl + X. One QuickPad can be useful for any task – it remembers every device it has even been connected to.
You can connect QuickPad via cable or Bluetooth. Microsoft Windows, Mac OS and Linux are all supported, just connect it and install the necessary drivers.
Why use it?
QuickPad is an advanced version of MacBook Pro’s sensor bar, which can only show labels and certain info. In contrast, with QuickPad possibilities are much bigger. And it’s not dependant on any platform.
In simpler terms, if you play a shooter game, it can show stats, HUD etc. For RTS it will display the resources, and allow using different commands without the keyboard.
QuickPad is good for work too – it can display any labels, shortkeys etc.
How much
If you preorder, QuickPad will cost you $104. First shipments are expected in October, and the necessary funds have been already collected.
