Rocksteady Ends Content Updates for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

Rocksteady Studios has announced that it will cease providing new content updates for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League in January 2025, nearly a year after the game’s February 2 release. Despite this, the game’s servers will remain operational, and an offline mode, promised shortly after the game’s launch, is set to arrive on December 10 with the start of Season 4.

The final update will introduce a significant addition: Deathstroke, the cold-blooded mercenary and one of Batman’s iconic foes, as the game’s eighth playable character. Alongside Deathstroke, the update will include medieval-themed locations, several new weapons inspired by famous DC supervillains, a unique battle pass, and cosmetic items.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was a notable financial disappointment for Rocksteady and publisher Warner Bros. Just three weeks after the game’s release, Warner Bros. publicly admitted that sales fell far short of expectations.

The game also received mixed reviews from both critics and players. It holds a score of 60/100 on Metacritic based on professional reviews and a 65% positive rating from players on Steam.
