The Samsung Galaxy A55 5G is inching closer to its launch, and it has now got its NBTC certification. This follows the Geekbench spotting of this device, which revealed a thing or two about the coming device’s specifications. While there are no specifications of this device available from the NBTC certification, it helps confirm some specifications that previous certification revealed.
For instance, a while ago, the FCC certification of the Samsung Galaxy A55 5G hit the internet revealing its charging speed and model number. From the FCC’s certification, we learn that this coming device will feature 25W fast charging as standard. It also revealed the model number of the coming device to be SM-A556E/DS, and this matches the model number of the new NBTC certification.
The NBTC certification points out that the SM-A556E/DS model number is for the coming Samsung Galaxy A55 5G. This goes to confirm that yes, this device will launch with 25W fast charging as standard. What seems to be another variant of this coming device has also popped up on Geekbench with model number SM-A556B.
This entry comes with the Exynos 1480 processor and up to 8GB worth of RAM capacity. The model as shown by the NBTC certification is to feature dual SIM support, but we aren’t sure of its processor. Another leak has also shown off the design and colour of this coming device as it’ll feature Awesome Ice Blue, Awesome Lilac, and Awesome Navy colours.
The design however is not far from that of the A54 that became official last year. Samsung will equip the Galaxy A55 5G with a triple rear camera setup. More details on this device will become available in the coming weeks leading up to this device’s launch.
