Earlier today the Sony Xperia 1 VI hit the launch stage packing some flagship specifications and a new design element. For a few weeks now, this device has been making the rounds on the global scene, and now we get to see what it’s all about. Just like its predecessor, the Xperia 1 V, this device is a photography-centric device that also stuns in other areas.
Aside from its performance upgrade thanks to a new processor, this device brings a display improvement. The Xperia 1 V from last year hit the launch stage with a 6.5-inch OLED 21:9 aspect ratio screen. This year, Sony is brushing things up with a 6.5-inch LTPO OLED 19.5:9 aspect ratio screen display.
What this means is that the bezels on the new Sony Xperia 1 VI are slimmer than those on its predecessor. Not only are the bezels on this new display slimmer, but they are also brighter than those on its predecessor. Another upgrade that this new device brings is in terms of its performance, as it packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
As for its storage configuration, things stay the same, as Sony offers users 12GB RAM as standard and an optional 256GB or 512GB storage capacity. For battery life, this device follows the footsteps of its predecessor by spotting a 5000mAh battery capacity and supporting 30W fast charging.
In the photography department, the new Sony Xperia 1 VI packs a triple rear camera setup with a 48MP main camera and two 12MP supporting lenses. Up front, we find another 12MP selfie camera, all four cameras on this device pack a ton of photography features that aim to take exceptional images. Pricing for this impressive device starts at €1,399 and comes in three colour options Black, Platinum Silver, and Khaki Green.
