To make the Google Photo app more useful to iOS users, Google is bringing the AI Photo editing feature to them. According to those familiar with this matter, the feature will make an entry on iOS devices next month and will be available for all Google Photo users. Well, there are a few things to take to mind if you’re an iOS user and want to access this feature once it becomes available.
Firstly, it’s good to note that this feature became standard on the Google Pixel 8 series as a photo editing tool. It helped with things like unblurring photos and moving subjects in a picture around the frame for an overall better look. All users of the Google Pixel 8 series have this feature standard on their devices, but other Android users have to pay to get this feature on Google Photos.
For other Android devices, they can make use of the AI Photo editing feature on 10 photos each month. So users of Android devices that aren’t the Pixel 8 series will have to be careful as they make use of this AI Photo editing feature known as the Magic Editor. Next month, iOS users will get access to this Google Photos AI feature with the same restrictions that Android devices that aren’t the Pixel 8 series have.
To break these restrictions, Android and iOS users will need to pay for the Google One subscription plan. This will give them access to the AI Photo editing feature without any restrictions to its usage. The Google One membership plan starts at $2 per month, but users can pay $20 per month for the top-of-the-line option.
This option is known as the AI Premium Plan, and it gives users access to Google Gemini. Whichever plan you go for between the Basic and Premium Plan, you’ll get the AI feature on Google Photos. So iOS users can prepare themselves as Google prepares to make their photos look better using AI editing tools.
