On the night of January 2, 2024, Russia carried out a massive attack with air strikes of various types, as it was a few days ago, on December 29, 2023. As reported on the official page of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Facebook, enemy missiles and drones of Iranian production attacked critical infrastructure facilities and industrial, civilian and military facilities. The main direction of the attack was Kyiv and Kharkiv.

The enemy also attacked from the sea with three Kalibr cruise missiles, and from the north with 12 ballistic missiles of the Iskander-M/S-300/S-400 type. Russian troops used four Kh-31P anti-radar missiles from Su-35 tactical aircraft,” the report added.
In general, according to preliminary results, the enemy used 134 air attack means of various types, of which 99 were missiles and 35 were Iranian kamikaze drones! 107 of them were destroyed by the forces and means of the Air Force in cooperation with units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine. It is reported that our military shot down 10 Kh-47M2 “Kinjal” aeroballistic missiles out of 10 launched in Ukraine and all launched Kalibr cruise missiles. 59 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles out of 70 were also shot down.
