The global smartphone market is going bullish after months of depreciation

-

Due to certain challenges, the global smartphone market faced two years ago it hit stormy seas. Recent analysis shows that the gloomy clouds seem to be clearing with the market getting back on its feet. This is great news, as the past few years have not been so blissful for most smartphone OEMs.

The stormy seas spoken of in the previous paragraph began to brew just after the COVID-19 pandemic. During the pandemic, most smartphone fans got to indulge themselves in purchasing new gadgets to help deal with staying indoors for a long time. However, staying indoors wasn’t good for the smartphone market and it fuelled a period of shortage of chips and components necessary to manufacture new phones.

After the pandemic, things went back to normal and smartphone production chips and components were becoming more readily available. Regardless of this, the smartphone market was still having a hard time getting back on its feet as sales were bearish. After two years of struggling to meet sales, the global smartphone market seems to be normalizing.

As a result of certain moves in the smartphone industry, sales are now more impressive than they were two years ago. This is the first time in two years that netizens have seen this type of performance from the smartphone market. The improvement is majorly coming from regions like the Middle East and Africa, which are emerging markets.

Other regions like China and India are also contributing to this impressive growth. Huawei has also been praised as its resurgence in the Chinese smartphone market plays a vital role in this growth. At the moment, sales in more developed regions seem to be seeing little or no growth at all.

Some critics claim that this growth will see a sharp decline like it did last year. However, the sources of the research into this issue predict that the growth will be gradual yet steady. With the launch of more devices this year, all eyes will monitor the market to observe its growth or decline.
