Today, Samsung has expanded its budget smartphone line-up with the Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G, which will be available in various regions, including Europe. Both devices are equipped with advanced security features and new photography capabilities and have stunning displays.
The Galaxy A55 5G is equipped with an advanced night shooting function and an image signal processing system with AI, which was not previously available in smartphones of this series. Moreover, it applies not only to landscapes – the smartphone also offers night portrait mode and 12-bit HDR video. Both the Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G also feature Optical Image Stabilization and Video Digital Image Stabilization to keep photos and videos sharp even when shooting on the move.
The camera module on the back of the Galaxy A55 5G includes a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. There is a 32 MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls. The Galaxy A35 5G is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5-megapixel macro camera. A 13-megapixel front-facing camera is installed on the front.
Both smartphones are equipped with 6.6-inch Super AMOLED displays with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, support Vision Booster technology and promise stunning image clarity in Full High Definition format.
Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G are powered by the company’s own mid-range Exynos chips – Exynos 1480 and Exynos 1380, respectively. The first model is available in three memory configurations: 8 GB + 128 GB, 8 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 256 GB. This is an improvement over the previous generation A54 5G (you can watch a video review of it below).
Meanwhile, the Galaxy A35 5G will also be offered in three variants, but the maximum available RAM configuration will be 8GB: 6/128GB, 8/128GB and 8/256GB. There are no major changes in terms of charging – both models are equipped with a 5000mAh battery and support 25W wired charging. With the Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G, users will get updates to four generations of Android and One UI and five years of security updates.
But owners of the new A-series smartphones get one of the most innovative flagship security features for the first time – Samsung Knox Vault. The hardware and tamper-resistant proprietary security solution offers comprehensive protection against hardware and software attacks, creating a secure execution environment. The feature helps protect the most important data on your device, including lock screen credentials like PINs, passwords, and patterns.
The Samsung Galaxy A55 5G has a metal frame while the Galaxy A35 has a plastic frame and both phones are available in four different colours namely Awesome Iceblue, Awesome Lilac, Awesome Lemon and Awesome Navy.
