Peacock has released the first trailer for the second season of Twisted Metal, a series based on Sony’s video game franchise. The new episodes will feature deadly races organized by the mysterious Calypso.

The first season, which premiered in 2023, performed well, becoming one of Peacock’s most popular original projects and quickly securing a renewal.
In the teaser for season two, John Doe and Quiet put their lives on the line in a deadly derby organized by Calypso. They’ll compete against sixteen other racers for the ultimate prize—the chance to have one wish granted. Among their rivals is the ruthless and unhinged Sweet Tooth, who is eager to bring his darkest fantasies to life.
Anthony Mackie reprises his role as the lead character, John Doe, joined by Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Seanoa, Will Arnett, and Anthony Carrigan. The trailer hints at the return of familiar characters, including the psychotic clown Sweet Tooth and the vengeful Dollface, who is revealed to be John’s sister.
Michael Jonathan Smith returns as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions, and Universal Television. Other executive producers include Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Anthony Mackie, and Will Arnett.
The second season promises even more chaos, violence, and new adversaries. While an exact release date has not been announced, the premiere is expected in the summer of 2025.
