Payments of the new form of compensation “eRecovery” started on the first day of 2024. The amount of compensation is determined based on the report of the initial inspection of the damaged housing and a checklist with the established cost of building materials and works.
The first step to receive compensation is to send photos of the damage through the mobile application “Actions” and open an “eRecovery” card at the bank. This initiative covers the entire territory of Ukraine, allowing citizens to use the funds received exclusively for repair work.
Kyiv’s residents also have the option of receiving financial assistance from the city government for repair work. However, submission of applications is possible only from the owners of the flats, subject to the presentation of relevant documents. In addition, you can apply for financial assistance in the reception room of deputies of the Kyiv City Council. The amount of compensation, as Deputy Ksenia Semenova notes, can range from 3,700 to 10,000 hryvnias. To receive a payment, you need to have registration in Kyiv or IDP status, it is not necessary to be the owner of the flat. At the same time, if the amount of compensation is more than 3,700 hryvnias, you will be asked for a certificate of damage (take care to get a copy during the inspection of the flat by law enforcement officers). Search for a list of deputy reception desks in Kyiv using the link.
We remind you that the previous mechanisms for obtaining assistance remain relevant, but may take some time to process. The Red Cross in Ukraine is ready to help families who cannot cope with financial difficulties on their own. It is important to present documented arguments regarding the need for financial support.
At the regional level, it is also important to establish contact with local deputies and get acquainted with possible ways of receiving assistance through their activities.
