Judging by the information coming from TSMC, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will debut in November. This means that the chip will arrive months earlier than usual.
The new processor will receive a four-cluster layout according to the scheme 1+2+2+3. The new SoC will receive one super-powerful Cortex-X3 core, two clusters of two cores based on Cortex-A720 and A710, respectively, as well as three energy-efficient Cortex-A510 cores. The Adreno 740 will be responsible for the graphics.
There is no doubt that this will be the most powerful SoC for Android phones. And if the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 appears in November, the Xiaomi 13 series may come out ahead of schedule. Although we have not yet seen the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, which is rumored to arrive in the coming weeks, it’s interesting to hear early reports about the next flagship series
Starting with the Snapdragon 888 and Xiaomi 11, Xiaomi typically releases its flagship the same month as Qualcomm’s new flagship SoC. For the last two years, the month of launch has been December. However, since Qualcomm is set to speed up its flagship SoC release, Xiaomi is likely to do the same.
