The Yaber Projector T2/T2 Plus is a game-changer in portable projectors, proving useful in various situations. You might wonder why we need a projector when we have everything on our phones and gadgets. Let me offer a simple analogy: we love listening to music, but it’s more fun to go to a concert and hear our favorite songs live. The same goes for a projector. Imagine a cozy home setting where you and your friends watch movies and TV shows without leaving the house, turning it into a genuine cinema experience. However, Yaber’s latest model can also be used in more serious situations—at work, during business meetings and presentations, or even at cultural events. There are countless ways to use it, so I invite you to read this review to get to know our star better!
Positioning and price
Yaber, a recognized leader in the field of external projectors, introduced its latest model, the T2/T2 Plus, this June. This innovative portable projector offers a native 1080P resolution and exceptional sound quality thanks to its collaboration with JBL. The device provides up to 18 hours of music playback and 2.5 hours of continuous content viewing.
At the time of writing this review, the projector is priced starting at $349. Sure, there are cheaper options on the market, but today we’re dealing with a versatile, mid-range gadget. Now, the logical question arises: is it worth the price?

Design and ergonomics
The projector features an interesting and classic design. At first glance, it could be mistaken for a large speaker. It measures 165×140×290 mm and weighs 2.5 kg. The weight is relatively light, considering the device needs to sit securely on any surface.
There is a swivel handle at the top for easy carrying.
On the front panel, you’ll find the heart of the device—the lens and focus sensor. To the left of the focus sensor is the infrared receiver, making it easier to use the remote control from different angles. Below the lens are ventilation grilles through which air is expelled, a technology that cools the projector during operation.
The back panel of the projector features various ports: USB, HDMI (ARC), audio output, a LAN (RJ45) port, and a power port. These allow you to easily connect the Yaber Projector T2/T2 Plus to various devices, such as laptops, gaming consoles, or audio systems.
The top panel features an NFC area, making it easy to connect the projector to other devices using this function.
At the bottom, there’s a well-thought-out design element—four rubber pads that provide stability during use, along with a mounting hole, allowing you to attach the projector to a tripod or other holder.
The Yaber T2/T2 Plus boasts a well-thought-out design. It uses not only plastic but also fabric and soft materials. The construction and design are excellent, making it a great fit for any interior.
Hardware and software
The Yaber Projector T2/T2 Plus is a modern LED projector. The new model offers a resolution of 1080P (Full HD), ensuring clearer and more detailed images. What formats does it support? Among others, it supports MP3, AAC, LPCM, APE, FLAC, OGG, AMR, and text formats like JPG, PNG, BMP, and JPEG, making it a versatile multimedia tool.
With a maximum brightness of 450 ANSI lumens, the Yaber Projector T2/T2 Plus delivers bright and clear images in various lighting conditions—both indoors and outdoors. Its 1.25:1 projection ratio allows you to project images from 1.1 to 3.3 meters away, with sizes ranging from 40 to 120 inches. This makes the gadget suitable for use at home or, for example, in a small room or office setting at work.
The projector is equipped with automatic features such as auto-focus, trapezoidal distortion correction, screen adjustments, and obstacle avoidance, which significantly simplify interaction with the Yaber.
Sound is delivered through built-in JBL speakers with Dolby Audio support, ensuring high-quality audio. The projector supports various audio formats, including MP3, AAC, LPCM, APE, FLAC, OGG, and AMR.

Connection and control
Connecting the projector to other devices is straightforward, with detailed steps provided in the manual. I’ll just mention that the system can be controlled using a remote control that doesn’t need to be pointed directly at the projector but rather towards the projection area, giving the sensation of being in front of a TV. Before use, you need to connect the device to your home Wi-Fi network and control the projector from your phone or follow the recommended actions on the screen.
Using the remote is easy and intuitive, with commands executing quickly. While it may not be as fast as flagship phones, it still performs well.
It’s worth noting that a nice feature is that the system allows you to select the apps and subscriptions you have. The projector then automatically adds them to its library. This process may take some time, so if you have multiple accounts on different platforms, you’ll need to be patient and wait a bit.

Battery life
In terms of battery life, the Yaber Projector T2/T2 Plus offers 2.5 hours of video playback and up to 18 hours of music playback. Unfortunately, this battery life might be disappointing, as 2.5 hours is shorter than a long movie. However, if you’re planning an event and know it will last less time, this shouldn’t be an issue.
And perhaps another question arises: “How do I check the battery percentage?” On the main screen, you can see a battery icon with divisions, and when the battery is nearly depleted, a notification politely informs you that it’s time to stop viewing and charge the device.
I didn’t keep track of exactly how long the Yaber Projector T2/T2 Plus lasted. On the first day, I was just getting to know it. The next day, I watched a movie, and then my family and I enjoyed a series on YouTube. It was wonderful, but it was a shame it didn’t last longer. Maybe it just felt that way because I was so captivated by the experience of watching something “on the wall” that I didn’t notice how time flew by.
The device takes 3.5 hours to charge while in standby mode or 5.5 hours when it’s turned on.
Sound
Given that the sound was developed by a well-known company specializing in this area, the quality couldn’t be poor. We have JBL speakers and Dolby Audio system here. If you forget that it’s a projector, you might think it’s a real speaker: overall, the sound is balanced, with ample volume and bass. I tried listening to a few songs, and honestly, the sound quality doesn’t differ much from that of dedicated audio models.
Personal experience of use
I particularly liked the thoughtful design of the Yaber Projector T2/T2 Plus. The movable handle allows you to position the projector at various angles and adjust them accordingly, which is very convenient during use.
In this part of the review, I’ll discuss how well the device performed during our time together. Although the manufacturer claims that the projector is comfortable to use outdoors, I believe that for a comfortable experience with this “gadget,” you at least need to find a wall or building. Honestly, it would be of little use at a picnic.
I decided to stay at home and thoroughly test the Projector T2/T2 Plus. Firstly, the quality will be good only if you position the gadget correctly—it shouldn’t be too far or too close. The same applies to lighting. During the day, the image is bright and clear, but under intense sunlight, much of it becomes hard to see, so a bit of “darkness” is preferable. Of course, it’s best to watch something in the evening, as it really feels like being in a cinema—I enjoyed that. Additionally, the “wow” effect was enhanced by the fact that I only have white walls at home, so nothing interfered with the viewing experience.
The image quality was commendable, with good contrast and accurate shadows. Occasionally, I was annoyed that when I accidentally touched the projector, a notification would appear but then disappear after a short time.
Playing games, watching presentations, or movies was a real pleasure. I had a wonderful opportunity to relax and watch my favorite series while lying in bed, without needing to bring a laptop or phone with me.
The projector also has a cooling system. At the beginning of use, there was minimal noise, but it was still present. However, once something is “playing,” this minor detail fades away.
Conclusions
The Yaber Projector T2/T2 Plus is a reliable and versatile device that is perfect for both home use and work or leisure activities. Its main advantages include native 1080p resolution, automatic focus and keystone correction features, and high-quality sound provided by JBL speakers with Dolby Audio support. Additionally, the projector supports a wide range of multimedia formats and offers various wireless connectivity options, making it a practical tool for everyday use. The device is also reasonably priced, making it an attractive option for those looking to enjoy some entertainment or needing reliable equipment for work.
