Package contents and price
In the box with the phone you will find 18W charger, cable, SIM tray key and documentation. The box is quality, white in colour, will look good if you are planning this gadget for a gift.
The screen is also covered with a factory protective film. However, the film is not of high quality, it gets covered with dirt very quickly.
Now in Ukraine, the smartphone costs approximately $160, but in the branded shop on Aliexpress now has a significant discount, there you can buy the smartphone for $110.
Blackview BV6200 Design
Just by looking at the Blackview BV6200, you realise – this phone is built to be like a tank. Not only that, it’s as heavy as a tank. Because of its powerful battery and sturdy body. The device is made very brutal, looks protected – and it is. The smartphone is resistant to water, sand, dust, steam, vibration, drops, bumps, and even heat and cold.
The Blackview BV6200 has an octagonal design, which is commonly used in the company’s rugged phones. The body has rubberised corners on the sides and back. Very conveniently, there is an orange button on the left side, which can be configured for quick access to a number of functions (torch, screenshot, SOS, etc.) or to open applications.
On the back side there are 2 cameras, a torch and a speaker. There is also a well-made hook at the bottom, to which you can tie a ribbon or string.
The dimensions were obviously dictated by the display and battery specifications, however, making the phone big and heavy – as much as 438 g. Trust me, you’ll feel it in your hand immediately, and it’ll take a few more days to get used to it.
In my medium-sized hand, the phone is a little hard to hold. But the contours of the back panel fit well in my hand and all the buttons are placed within reach.
The large 6.56-inch IPS display has a fairly modest resolution of 720×1612 pixels. Brightness levels are high enough for outdoor use. Colour reproduction is quite good, but don’t expect good video and photo viewing with HD+ resolution.
Performance
Blackview BV6200 is powered by Helio A22 processor (4 ARM Cortex-A53 cores with low power consumption). This is the level of entry-level phones, but the device will cope with basic tasks and even some light games. Yes, the processor is weak, you will have to put up with a little sluggishness and not super fast opening of programmes. RAM is only 4 GB, but it can be increased in the settings by another 4 GB. The permanent memory is 64GB. The smartphone comes with Doke OS 3.1 shell (based on Android 13). As for the interface and icons – nothing unusual, it’s almost pure Android with a slightly modified icon design. But from the pluses I can single out the quick access panel and desktop settings.
Battery
The battery capacity of the BV6200 is 13000 mAh, which should be enough for:
- 1487 hours standby time
- 50 hours of continuous calls
- 40 hours of music listening
- 23 hours browsing the internet
- 20 hours watching videos
- 17 hours playing games
As for charging, the BV6200 comes with an 18W power adapter. It can fully charge the phone in 4 hours.

I had a full charge of the phone for 4 days of active use. In addition, the manufacturer has provided support for reverse charging – with the help of this smartphone you can easily recharge other devices. That is, just use the phone as a power bank.
Blackview BV6200 Speaker
One of the most noticeable pluses of the BV6200 is undoubtedly its loud speaker on the back panel. Everyone who has seen the phone immediately said that it was too big. But in the end, they were surprised not only by the volume, but also by the fact that the sound remains quite high quality, especially in high frequencies.
The volume of the BV6200 is difficult to test indoors, because at a certain stage you already start worrying about your health. But outdoors, you can confidently use this phone as an impromptu music listening solution. For example, when going on a picnic with friends, it’s sure to rival most compact Bluetooth speakers.
Plus, the large speaker, when properly set up, can ensure that you’ll never miss an alert or be late for work again. By the way, even after immersing the phone in water, the speaker quickly pushes the water out. After that, the sound becomes loud again.
But there is one significant disadvantage – if you put the phone on the table with the screen up, the speaker is very muffled. Or when you watch a video while holding the phone in your hands, the sound will spread in the opposite direction.
Camera
The Blackview BV6200 takes photos with a 13MP main sensor at a maximum resolution of 4208×3120 and an 8MP front camera with a resolution of 3264×2448.
Before talking about the photo quality, it is important to remind you that the phone is a budget phone. Yes, and the weight of the device makes taking pictures more cumbersome than usual. Taking photos with one hand is not so easy if you care about accurate composition, quick shots also suffer a bit as you have to pause and hold the BV6200 steady to get usable results.
There are not very many settings in the standard camera app. From the main ones: Night-mode, flash, HDR, Beauty-mode, Panorama, Portrait, Mono and Pro-mode. Night shooting is for photos only. As for photo quality, here are some examples for your consideration.
Video front and main cameras shoot in Full HD (1080×1920), there is also some stabilisation, but in practice the picture on video is shaky.
Conclusions
The smartphone has both pros and cons. On the plus side, I would highlight very good security, loud speaker, large battery, power bank function, relatively fast charging, quick access button, large display and design. And from the minuses – low performance, resolution (only HD+), heavy weight, video shooting, ergonomics of the body and speaker. But otherwise, the Blackview BV6200 could be an ideal choice for people with specific professions or needs.

I really enjoying using BV6200 in Papua New Guinea. Battery life is very long, speakerphone, waterproof and many more……
It’s really like, unusual to other phone and I’m so lucky to have this phone.
