Multiple sources confirm that from now on Apple suspends all online sales in Russia. Devices can’t be added to the basket, nor be delivered. In addition, Reuters confirms that Apple halts the export of its products to Russian sales channels, RT News and Sputnik News will be pulled from the AppStore outside Russia, and Apple Pay will stop working in the country as well.
In his post on Telegram, Mykhailo Fedorov Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine thanked Tim Cook for this move.
Last week, Tim Cook shared his deep concerns over the situation in Ukraine. After that Mykhailo Fedorov sent an official letter to Apple’s CEO asking to block Apple Store in Russia.
