The new Beats Solo Buds is yet another proof that the brand has a solid track record when it comes to wireless headphones. The company consistently offers good sound, a comfortable fit and a wide range of features for Android and iOS users. However, its devices have a drawback – they are all not very affordable, so the manufacturer decided to correct this by introducing wireless headphones Solo Buds.
These headphones will cost $80 and provide up to 18 hours of work on a single charge. However, there is a caveat – if you expected the battery life to increase several times with the case, you will have to be disappointed, because the Solo Buds case does not have a battery at all. That is, the headphones will not charge when you are not using them. Essentially, their case is a docking station and only charges the headphones when connected via a USB-C cable.
But you can charge them in the case from a phone, laptop or tablet, and the Beats fast charging function will provide you with an hour of work after only 5 minutes of charging. There is also a plus – since the cover does not have a battery, its dimensions are much smaller.
Beats designed Solo Buds headphones for long-term wear. In particular, they have ergonomic acoustic nozzles and ventilation holes to improve sound quality and reduce pressure. The set includes four sizes of ear tips so that the user can find the best option for their ears in terms of comfort and passive noise isolation. There is no active noise cancellation (ANC) here, so a secure fit will be the only protection against distracting environmental sounds.

The dual-layer drivers are designed to reduce distortion across the entire frequency curve, which should result in “uncompromised clarity,” according to Beats. The company promises “exceptional” call quality thanks to the combination of a specially designed microphone and a noise recognition algorithm. Built-in controls are customizable, allowing you to turn on music, calls and voice assistant functions with one or more taps. Beats also includes the ability to adjust the volume on the Solo Buds with an additional press and hold.
Android and iOS compatibility provides one-touch pairing, automatic setup, and support for Apple’s Find My and Google’s Find My Device features. Everything you’ll need on an iPhone is built into iOS, while Android has a separate app for things like setting up built-in controls. The Solo Buds will go on sale in June and come in black, grey, purple and clear red.
