Netizens are now getting to see the leak of the Google Pixel 8a retail box, along with a few specs of this device. A few weeks ago, the design of this coming device made its way to the internet, and it will be similar to the Google Pixel 8 except it’s 0.1 inches smaller and has smaller lenses. Now the retail box of this coming device is shaking up some waves in the smartphone industry as it gives away some details on the charging speed of this coming device.
There’s nothing special about the leaked retail box of this coming device, as it will only bring the smartphone a transfer adapter and a USB-C cord. However, this retail box clearly states that this coming device will support 27W fast charging, which is a great improvement from its predecessor. The Google Pixel 7a from last year supports 18W fast charging, which some users might consider as being slow.
However, in no way is the coming 27W fast charging that the Pixel 8a will support crazy fast in itself. But it’s a step in the right direction for Google and will help users of the coming device get their device from 0-100% a bit faster. Because the charging speed of the Google Pixel 8a is on its box doesn’t mean that it’ll launch with a charging brick in the box.
From the image we can see a symbol of a charging brick with a line crossing it diagonally, this indicates that the box won’t hold a charging brick. The only reason that detail on the charging is found on the retail box is to give users an idea of the charging speed their device supports. Aside from the charging speed, this retail box also leaks the dimensions of this coming device being 152.1 x 72.6 x 8.9mm.
Another detail on this coming device includes its Tensor G3 processor. Following the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro the coming 8a will feature curved edges. This device will launch in the coming months ahead of the launch of the Pixel 9 series.
