Huawei Luxeed S9 prepares to enter the EV market as a worthy competitor

-

Just a few days ago the Huawei Luxeed S9 got its official announcement as a collaboration between the tech giant and Chery. Details on this new EV model have stunned netizens concerning its performance, onboard technology, and design. This coming vehicle aims to compete with other electric fastback SUVs that are currently available for purchase in the EV market today.

Those looking to purchase this new EV can choose between two different drivetrains both offering varying power output. The first option available for buyers is the rear-wheel drive option and this puts out 292 horsepower. This power output will be sufficient for most buyers who need a new vehicle for commuting two ends from work, school, or running errands.

But for those users that require more power on their Huawei Luxeed S9 purchase, they can opt for the all-wheel drive option. This puts out 496 horsepower and packs two electric motors one at the front and one at the rear. Just as potential buyers can decide their desired drive train and power output they can also pick the battery capacity they want on their new Luxeed S9.

The battery options with this car are 62kWh, 82kWh, and 100kWh the highest that buyers can go up to. Buyers will also benefit from the host of technology that this new electric fastback SUV packs. These will help in autonomous driving, driver safety, better driving experience, and so much more.

Huawei and Chery will launch the Luxeed S9 in China sometime next year. Reports claim that this launch will take place in Q2 2024 and it’ll be available to the Chinese EV industry first. This vehicle will be a competitor to the Tesla Model Y and other entries from the likes of Nio as well.
