A clamshell folding device that we expect to hit the launch stage this year is the Huawei Pocket 2. This device will succeed the Pocket S that made mainstream media back in 2022. The coming device will be the third of its form factor from the Chinese tech giant, and its design is already available thanks to a new leak.
Being the third clamshell folding device from Huawei, this coming Pocket 2 device will seek ways to stand out from the crowd. Well, from the new leaks that are showing off this coming device’s design, it’s clear that Huawei made some design changes. The major change in the design of this coming device is the layout of its rear cameras in comparison with its predecessors.
Just like its successors, the coming Huawei Pocket 2 will launch with a triple rear camera sensor setup. These sensors will sit on a circular rear panel cutout, just like we see on the Pocket S and the P50 Pocket. However, the positioning of the cameras in this circular cutout on the coming clamshell folding device will feature some rearrangement, putting one camera above the other two.
Just next to this first camera (that sits above the other two) Huawei places the flash as well as a photography sensor. Another major area of this device that some netizens might expect to change is its rear-facing display. But from the leaked images, we don’t seem to see any change in this device’s rear circular display in comparison with its predecessors.
However, the leaked image shows off the colours that we should expect this device to launch with. The colour choices are black, purple, and white, with the black option featuring a leather-like design. In-depth details and specifications of this device will become available in the coming weeks.
