At this year’s #MWC2024 exhibition, Lenovo presented a new portfolio of innovative PCs, software, conceptual and infrastructure solutions and services. In addition, the company revealed the future of hybrid AI, which will be used across devices, software and services for greater personalization, collaboration and efficiency.
First, Lenovo introduced the latest innovative concept — a transparent Lenovo ThinkBook Transparent Project Crystal Laptop with a 17.3-inch transparent Micro-LED display. The advantage of this laptop is the “smart” integration of virtual and real. The transparent screen opens up new opportunities for collaboration and increases efficiency thanks to Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC).
Continuing the momentum of Tech World 2023, Lenovo and Motorola also demonstrated the concept of an adaptive smartphone display that can bend and take on different shapes depending on the needs of users. This idea is based on mechanical innovations in Lenovo transformer devices, as well as deployment concepts.
Lenovo also presented the latest generation of business laptops — ThinkPad T14 Gen 5, ThinkPad T14s Gen 5, ThinkPad T16 Gen 3, ThinkPad X12 Detachable Gen 2 and ThinkBook 14 2-in-1 Gen 4. Intel Core Ultra processors with vPro technology, which are equipped with some novelties, and Windows 11 offer an optimal ecosystem of hardware and software solutions based on AI to ensure a higher level of security, energy efficiency and new work experiences. New Lenovo laptops are among the first to incorporate AI technologies. They provide users with a fully personalized PC experience, helping to streamline workflows and increase productivity.
Lenovo and Motorola jointly launched Smart Connect, a software solution that unites digital ecosystems to create a seamless experience with multiple devices. With Smart Connect, users can switch tasks between PC, phone and tablet, enjoy seamless and secure file sharing, access mobile apps on PC and easily manage phone notifications. Users can also easily bring everything displayed on their phones to the big screen, for example, easily transfer games, movies, shows and applications from the phone to the TV, so that there is more space for work and entertainment.
Lenovo has announced the release of a new generation of integrated Edge AI Solutions for Telco, which helps enterprises use massive amounts of data to create new artificial intelligence applications while reducing energy consumption.
Lenovo is releasing new solutions to help customers extend the life cycle of their devices with greener and more cost-effective IT options. With Lenovo’s Certified Refurbished program, organizations can deploy refurbished PCs that meet their various computing needs while maintaining a smaller IT carbon footprint. Only Lenovo and accredited partners offer Lenovo certification, guaranteeing the industry’s best quality devices that businesses can rely on.
Lenovo is also expanding its partnership with iFixit, giving IT managers the ability to quickly fix and repair devices, extending the life of the hardware. ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 and T16 Gen 3 laptops, thanks to the insights of the iFixit Solutions team, were designed to be more convenient for repair. Not only was it possible to expand the list of CRU replacement parts, including a battery with a wireless connector and a fully removable DIMM design, to replace the SSD and WWAN, but also to add visual indicators to facilitate repair. With the support of the iFixit team, Lenovo has created new repair guides that include video instructions for all CRUs and make it easier to order these parts. This extends product life, reduces e-waste and offers economic benefits for businesses and individuals. As a result of these improvements, the ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 and T16 Gen 3 received a preliminary iFixit repairability rating of 9.3 out of 10.
