Report and Video from the Logi Play Presentation: Logitech G915 X, G915 TKL X, PRO 2, and Other New Releases

-

While I prepare a comparison between the legendary Logitech G502 and… a finger-mounted laser mouse, our colleague attended the Logi Play presentation at the Na’Vi office in Kyiv. There, they got a firsthand look at several impressive new products, including the Logitech G915 X Lightspeed, G915 TKL X Lightspeed and PRO 2 Lightspeed.

Logitech PRO 2 Lightspeed

Let’s start with the mouse: the PRO 2 Lightspeed, which is expected to retail for around $134 or €121. It looks the least premium among the entire set, as its design is quite simple and understated, resembling a high-quality office model. It’s small and lightweight at 80 grams, with dimensions of 125 mm in length, 63.5 mm in height, and 40 mm in width.

However, the PRO 2 Lightspeed is ambidextrous, meaning it’s suitable for both right- and left-handed users. It comes in three matte color options: black, white, and purple. Interestingly, purple (or magenta) is one of the primary colors in the CMYK space, as it’s a mix of red and blue. Technically, it has just as much right to exist as yellow or violet.

Let’s get back to the PRO 2 Lightspeed. Its understated appearance is justified by its internal components. It features 4 additional buttons, 2 on each side. The sensor is a Hero 2, capable of tracking speeds up to 500 IPS and offering sensitivity up to 32,000 DPI. The primary switches use Lightforce technology.

There is Type-C charging with an autonomy of up to 95 hours, native support for PowerPlay and Lightspeed wireless data transfer. The latter means, for example, that if both opposing teams have the same model of wireless mouse at a Lan-championship in a computer club, then wireless communication will not cause problems within the network. That is, play to your heart’s content.

And what’s especially cool is that the side buttons are removable, with magnets, which means they can be installed either on both sides or on one side, or they can be removed altogether. But we’ll check whether both sets of buttons will work simultaneously in the review.

Logitech G915 X/Logitech G915 TKL X

To briefly summarize the Logitech G915 X and G915 TKL X keyboards: they are low-profile, wireless, RGB mechanical keyboards priced between 9,000 and 10,000 UAH, or up to $240.

Our team is particularly interested in the combination of low-profile design, RGB lighting, and wireless technology, so expect a review as soon as we get our hands on them.

Of the interesting things:

  • there are programmable keys on the side
  • Lightsync backlighting
  • the base is made of aircraft aluminum
  • wireless connection is possible in two ways
  • there can be up to three types of switches – Clicky, Linear, and Tactile
  • and there are separate multimedia controls.

The actuation force for the Tactile switches is 50 g, with an actuation distance of 1.5 mm and a total travel distance of 2.7 mm. Naturally, the TKL version of the keyboard will be smaller in size, but it retains all the same technologies and features.

Logitech PRO X 2

And not exactly a new release, but a great companion to the mouse and keyboard: the Logitech PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED headset. It offers up to 50 hours of battery life on wireless mode, which is just one of THREE connection options. It also features 50mm graphene drivers and a built-in microphone. The headset will cost around $140 or €125.

Logitech G PRO X 60

I’ll also say a few words about the G PRO X 60. We already have a review of it, but the official release of the keyboard was delayed at that time. Technically, it can be considered a new product. As for its key features?

  • TKL 60% model
  • hybrid – with wired and wireless operation
  • battery up to 65 hours
  • Lightsync and Lightspeed support
  • proprietary GX.

The Magenta version of the keyboard is truly a brand-new release. At the time of this article, only the black and white models were available on the official website. Currently, the price for the X 60 with tactile switches is $120.

That’s all from me—don’t forget to share in the comments which Logitech new release you liked the most! Personally, I’m a fan of the G915 X, but feel free to express your thoughts!
