Huawei has launched MatePad Paper in Poland – its first E Ink tablet. Sales of the device start on July 4 at a price of PLN 2,299 (about $513), but it’s already available for preorder complete with FreeBuds 4 headphones and a 4-month free subscription for Legimi service.
MatePad Paper is the first device to use the TÜV Rheinland Paper Like Display-certified E Ink screen. This allows users to read and write comfortably. Innovative design makes the device look like a book and fits perfectly in the hand. The tablet has an integrated one-piece structure with a vegan leather cover. Huawei MatePad Paper has a slim body and light weight (approximately 360g) and is equipped with a 10.3-inch Huawei FullView display.
The E Ink display has passed ten professional tests conducted by TÜV Rheinland, making it the first in the world to receive the TÜV Rheinland Paper Like Display certificate. In addition, the tablet uses Smart Refresh mode, which automatically adjusts the screen refresh rate according to the content. Huawei MatePad Paper comes with Huawei M-Pencil (2nd generation), which supports 4096 pressure levels for smooth writing with very low latency, only 26 ms.
The tablet inherited all the key features known from the MatePad series, such as double-tap to switch tools, automatic Bluetooth connectivity and magnetic charging. And it also comes with a number of new features, such as annotation and split screen notes.
Huawei MatePad Paper has proven itself as a universal tool for creating notes in all possible ways, from typing, to handwriting with M-Pencil.
As a member of the Smart Office family, MatePad Paper makes it easy to connect to other Huawei devices to create a super device. Users can use MatePad Paper as a virtual workspace extension that allows you to directly drag files between two devices without the need for email or third-party applications.
The processor provides uninterrupted reading and writing, and a powerful battery provides up to 6 days of activity, including web browsing, without recharging, and in standby mode – it has almost a month of battery life. MatePad Paper also supports fast fingerprint unlocking and provides a stable network signal and low interference. In addition, the device is equipped with two powerful speakers, which, despite the slim body, provide users with the highest quality sound.
